Why CBD is Beneficial for Your Daily Routine

CBD, or cannabidiol, is fast becoming a wellness staple—but it’s no quick fix. When it comes to unlocking the diverse health benefits of CBD, everyday consistency is key.

Why should you take CBD regularly?

CBD is most effective when it builds up in the body over time. Like with any other quality supplement, effects are usually not felt straight away, but when taken daily you begin to see results. Just as taking a single iron tablet won’t restore your iron levels if you’re deficient, CBD is not a one-off treatment.

CBD does its best work if it can accumulate in the body. Think of it as a matter of building up and maintaining CBD stores in your system. When you’re consistent with taking CBD daily, it helps the body to maintain a continuous amount of CBD in the body.

This, in turn, assists to promote a healthy endocannabinoid system—the network of receptors responsible for internally regulating the body and keeping it stable. This impressive system is responsible for an array of functions, from pain sensation to immune response, and mood to memory. CBD stimulates our endocannabinoid system to help bring about more health benefits, more often. Maintaining a consistent level of CBD in your system provides the endocannabinoid system with a steady supply it can keep drawing on to boost its functions.

If you take CBD only when you feel you “need” to, it could make a minor difference to the endocannabinoid system, but it’s certainly not efficient. It’s a bit like talking on your phone with poor reception: you’ll be able to communicate but there will likely be breaks or delays in the conversation; you’ll be able to communicate way more effectively if all of the reception bars are full. The same applies to CBD levels in the body: CBD will more effectively interact with the endocannabinoid system if CBD stores are full.

How long does it take to feel the effects of CBD?

It’s possible to feel the effects of CBD oil almost immediately, if, for example, you’re vaping it or using a tincture to drop it under your tongue. But keep in mind that while the effects of vaping, tinctures, and lotions kick in faster (in about ten minutes) as compared to capsules and edibles (which take anywhere from 30-90 minutes to take effect), they are also relatively short-lived, with their effects lasting for up to 2 hours, as compared to up to 8 hours if CBD oil is ingested.

How long does it take to see results from taking CBD?

Of course, how long it takes for CBD to “kick in” is a different matter from how long it takes for CBD to provide therapeutic benefits over a sustained period of time.

You may be wondering how long it will take before you see any consistent results from using CBD, and the short answer is: it comes down to your own body and needs. So, patience, and some experimentation, is required.

The longer answer depends on different influencing factors. These include what dosage of CBD you take, how frequently you take it, and in what format.

There are a variety of ways to ingest CBD oil, ranging from CBD oil-infused edibles like gummies, to tinctures, vapes, topical lotions, and capsules; just as varied, though, is the quality, purity and dosage of the CBD in these products. Not all CBD products are created equal!

And then there’s the issue of bioavailability, which is how much of the CBD actually makes its way into your bloodstream. Not all CBD that you ingest will make it into your bloodstream and even less will reach the endocannabinoid system, where it’s thought to have the most impact.

So far, the research indicates that CBD has a greater chance of being absorbed when it’s taken in capsule form—especially when microencapsulated (where the CBD oil is stored in a capsule within a capsule). Gummies are not nearly as bioavailable in comparison.

While you may be able to temporarily take the edge off with a CBD vape or ease localized pain with a CBD lotion, if you want longer-lasting, consistent results then regularly taking CBD capsules is probably the way to go.

You’ll also benefit more from a CBD product that has a reliable dosage measurement, is as bioavailable as possible, and is convenient to take every day. The Kaleidoscope Labs microencapsulated capsules have been designed with precisely these factors in mind.

So, what’s the upshot of all this?

Be patient: like any quality supplement, CBD is not a quick-fix.

Every body is different: results, required dosages, and time frames will vary depending on how your body responds to CBD and what your needs are.

Consistency is key: to maintain CBD stores in the body, it’s best to take CBD regularly over time.

All in all, consistent results will come from having a consistent CBD schedule.
